Emulator setup wizard does not work on win 10

Wed Mar 19, 2025 8:57 pm

I recently installed the Gamebase on a PC with win10 but I can't select any emulator (Ccs64 and winvice). The wizard selection procedure ends correctly but then in the "play game" menu it always remains inactive. It's not a question of recent versions of the emulators not supported by the Gamebase, because I also tried old versions of winvice (2.4x86) which is recognized perfectly by the Gamebase installed on another PC with windows 11. What could be the problem? By chance some incompatibility with some latest windows 10 update?
Thank you in advance for the answers!

I don't think the wizard has problems with a win10 update.
or i am sure it would have been reported before now???.

so when you run it, does it find the emulator files in the search [TICK]?
but the results are not saved to the emulators.ini?
that's probably a AV or Firewall setting stopping the edit to the emulators.ini file.

if the emulators are not found (incorrect CRC32 in gemus.dat).
you can search for the emulator file manually and add it.

I redid the procedure with the antivirus disabled (Kaspersky) I selected the emulator file manually but Gamebase still does not activate the emulator.

looking at your pictures...
setup wizard is working for you.

it looks like you haven't set the paths to the games.
press CTRL+L
select paths for Games, Music, Pictures, Extras, Photos.
select verify available files from the menu.

I solved it with this but the funny thing is that I had already done a first scan and it had had no effect... anyway I solved it, thank you for the support.
